I have some issues with the plotting in this book. Were the cameras actually a problem? Was that setup for activity in future books, or was it just a device to add tension to an otherwise smooth story? Were we supposed to suspect Grant’s parents of nefarious intentions before it was revealed about the real perpetrators? If I remember correctly, Edison and Alistair created wards around Honey Creek, and the area to prevent those with ill intent from entering the area, why can’t they do the same for Amherst and keep out Alpha Douche and his pack? Why do they have to rely on technology with only a little magic? Why were Grant’s powers treated like they were? What was the purpose behind it?Basically, the relationship was good, but I had so many unanswered questions at the end of this book, that I found myself to be disappointed. **********Contains Spoilers**********I really enjoyed this book. Grant’s Mum Clara was annoying as I didn’t understand what here problem with Grant leaving is, and what was with the cameras keeping being an issue? Will that be explained more in the next book? When Grant was told that his powers had been bound, I honestly expected that it was his parents, well at least his Mum because she hated being the only human in the coven where Grant was born but it wasn’t. Also I thought warlock’s had more than one child, but never multiples like are John and Clara being punished by fate like Flynn & Finn’s parents were, or did they just want one kid. I like Bal & Grant’s relationship and can’t wait to see what happens next. Wow wee Mason is a little cutie. Man Matthew totally missed the mark with trying to get Grantham to use his powers by sabotaging his spices etc so he has to use magic for cooking. His spell totally backfired and caused a small explosion and the oven to melt inwards. I’m looking to see who both Constantine & Granthan’s ones are going to be.
